Jeannie_Brown

Jeannie Brown

As a volunteer at Shepherd’s Light Foundation, I work behind the scenes to help my husband, Dewayne Brown, turn his vision of supporting veterans and first responders battling PTSD through the healing power of Christ into a reality.

“My heart is rooted in service organizing, planning, and helping the ministry grow from the ground up so that those who’ve served on the frontlines can find faith, hope, and restoration. It’s an honor to help build a movement that reminds our heroes they are never alone and that there is light, strength, and purpose through Christ.”

Isabella_Brown

Isabella Brown

“I’m honored to carry forward a legacy of service and compassion inspired by my father, Dewayne Brown. His unwavering heart for veterans and first responders has deeply shaped my desire to serve, helping those facing PTSD discover healing, strength, and hope through Christ.

I share the vision of restoring faith and renewal to those who have sacrificed so much. By serving alongside my family, I’m privileged to support the ministry’s mission behind the scenes, coordinating, organizing, and contributing to its growth so more heroes can encounter the light and love of Jesus.”

Our Core Beliefs

While we hold the following teachings as foundational, we understand that we often see Scripture from different perspectives. We are grateful to know we can walk in unity even when we don't always see life through the same lens.

About Scripture
We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God and that men were moved by the Spirit of God to write the very words of Scripture. Therefore, we believe the Bible is without error.

About God
We believe in one God who exists in three distinct persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe that Jesus Christ is the second member of the Trinity (the Son of God) who became flesh to reveal God to humanity and to become the Savior of the lost world.

About Humanity
We believe that all people were created in the image of God to have relationship with him but became alienated in that relationship through sin. As a result, people are incapable of regaining a right relationship with God through their own efforts.

About Salvation
We believe that the death of Jesus on the cross provides the sole basis for the forgiveness of sin.
Therefore, God freely offers salvation to those who place their faith in the death and resurrection of Christ as sufficient payment for their sin.

About the Christian Life
We believe all Christians should live for Christ and not for themselves. By obedience to the Word of God and daily yielding to the Spirit of God, every believer should mature and be conformed to the image of Christ

About the Church
We believe that the church is the body of Christ, of which Jesus Christ is the head. The members of the church are those who have trusted by faith the finished work of Jesus. The purpose of the church is to glorify God by loving him and by making him known to the lost world.
